All the celebrities are doing it. In addition to a minimum of one million "average Joe" tourists descending upon D.C. for inauguration, there are TONS of celebs coming to town. It is out of control. While I was never filled with "Obamania", all the fanfare and hype has really turned me into an inauguration grinch. ( I am intrigued by the concept of the Huffington Post's party). I will, however, accept this excuse to drink copious amount of alcohol and enjoy a four-day weekend. Speaking of the weekend, my eighteen year-old sister is descending upon D.C. as I type this. Do any of the chad-mini readers have thoughts on what you do with a <21?

Your post is filled with irony, Jacqui.
First, I will neither be drinking any alcohol nor having any fun this weekend. IN FACT, this is the first time in my life that the closure of public and private libraries on a national holiday has negatively affected me. I have no place to study!
Second, after returning from Ireland I began to date a girl just under 21. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. I was wrong. Post-graduation I see my friends on the weekends - out at the bars. So I couldn't hang out with her on weekends - just weekdays. My choice was also flawed in that she had insomnia, which in turn kept me up at night, which in turn does not bode well for weekdays.
DC has a ton of stuff to do and see - with no age requirements - however, I presume that traffic and tourists this weekend will be overwhelming. Maybe a side trip out of the area - perhaps to Mt. Vernon - would be fun. There also are a lot of good movies out right now. Or you could sit around and smoke cigarettes, which is legal.
More importantly, my lack of posting and lack of gchat linking to the blog has pretty much deprived the blog of visitors. I'm sure my bar study blogging would be entertaining and insightful for some, however, I just don't have the time to regularly blog. Post-bar I will fill everything in, which hopefully will be useful to some.
Hahaha. I totally forgot about your under 21 dating endeavor. I do believe that you mentioned your enjoyment in mini golf while dating that young one.
